Without fail, the bird chirping woke us up way before the alarm clock. Getting ready, breakfast and everything followed and had become our new routine. Body's were sore and the work could easily become monotonous but still smiles were found everywhere around the work site! The sun decided to sleep in a little later so the cloud cover was just the encouragement we needed to finish digging the ditches. The rebar and bench work continued on but not without battle scars. The girls working on this job became experts at cutting, tying and bending the long metal poles! After lunch the trenches had been finished so it was time to make/pour cement! Everyone fell into their role with the cement- some mixing, some transporting, some shoveling. Next came the daily game of soccer followed by showering off our dirt-stained skin. Dinner, worship games, sleep.
