Costa Rica- Day 3

Today marked the first day on the job! We awoke around 6:30, ate breakfast and headed off to work! The boys and Madison began work in the trenches digging a smaller ditch inside the large ditch. It may look easy but the mixture of dirt, clay and rocks made the job a challenge! The clink of shovels and pickaxes filled the air all day long. Janey and I began our job of bending rebar while a team worked to assemble the rebar structures. After working for a few hours "refrescos" were served. We all enjoyed our fresh bananas and then got back to work until lunchtime. Unfortunately I couldn't go back to work due to a migrane (4 ibprophen and 2 tylonol didn't even lessen the pain- thank you to Janey and Taylor for taking care of me!) but my team coninued to work hard into the late afternoon.

And then they enjoyed a game of soccer with the kids. After dinner my head was feeling well enough to join everyone for dinner, devotions and a game of cards. Off to bed before another day of work!
